- Of course - if you compare a 1200 to a PC you'll come up short - the 1200
- (and 600...) were (are?) atrocities. The only one that I liked (and still
- own) is the 3000. There is in no way any PC can compare to the 3000... I've
- had PC's in the past - use them at work as well. The 3000 is about the
- only thing I've found that costs like a DeskTop but performs like a
- workstation (and no - PC's and Macs are not in any way size shape or form
- a workstation) Anything that came out after the 3000 was a mistake.
-
- And as an aside - nothing about the 3000 was expensive. I have a Sun
- Sparcstation as well - the Amiga is still indespensible and for the
- price, a major bargain especially when you consider the shortcomings
- of OS/Hardware on the PC or Mac. EVERYTHING on the 3000 is accessible
- and understandable - and well documented. In order to achieve the
- power and capabilties of the Amiga 3000 - you need to get a genuine
- workstation. No PC or Mac can even come close.
